Clive and Tina Bullivant studied Wood, Metal, Ceramics and Plastics at Brighton Polytechnic Faculty of Art. They jointly ran a silversmithing design and manufacturing workshop executing a number of important pieces including commissions for a box presented to HRH Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, and a memorial vase for Sussex University Chapel. Most recently they have won awards for silversmithing design from the Goldsmiths' Craft and Design Council and are participants in international product design competitions. They have exhibited widely with work having been shown at the Goldsmiths’ Hall in London and through the European Silver Triennial across the major European Capitals.

As designers they are driven by a desire to educate people about design, to encourage them to be more discerning and to be better equipped to understand the qualities of what they are buying. To this end they have both worked closely with school students and have developed strong links with universities. This experience has broadened their own focus and interests to encompass a much wider range of product design than precious objects.
